APA's Values
I. Leading with Love
“God is love.” — 1 John 4:8
At Anchor Point Assembly, love is not just a virtue—it’s our foundation. Because God is love, everything we do is rooted in His divine character. Our love moves in three directions: upward in worship to God, inward toward the family of faith, and outward to the world Christ died to save.
We strive to reflect the selfless, sacrificial love of Jesus in every interaction. Whether gathered for worship or scattered in the mission of every day life, we want the love of God to be felt, seen, and known in us. As His people, we endeavor to embody the truth of John 13:35: “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”II. Holding Truth, Extending Grace
“Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” — John 1:17
At APA, we believe the Word of God is perfect, timeless, and true. We hold fast to the infallible truth of Scripture—not swayed by culture, convenience, or opinion. Truth is our compass.
But truth does not stand alone. As Christ modeled, we pair uncompromising truth with unfailing grace and mercy. This balance ensures that while we remain doctrinally grounded, we are also relationally compassionate.
We are committed to proclaiming the gospel—that through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, mercy triumphs over judgment (James 2:13). We will handle God’s Word and God’s people with reverence, creating a culture of honor, healing, and accountability.III. Pursuing Whole-Life Health
“I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” — John 10:10
Jesus came not only to save souls but to bring abundant life—life that touches every part of who we are. At APA, we pursue holistic health, because the gospel transforms every area of life.
We prioritze spiritual flourishing while we intentially pay attention to physical well-being, emotional resilience, mental clarity, relational peace, and financial stewardship. Our goal is to nurture thriving disciples who reflect the fullness of life in Christ.
We believe discipleship is not just about going deeper in knowledge but growing stronger in every season of life—walking in wholeness and freedom.IV. Building a Compassionate Community
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
At APA, compassion isn’t an event—it’s our everyday posture. We exist to be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving our city with humility, generosity, and joy.
Where there is brokenness, we will bring hope. Where there is hunger, we will offer provision. Where there is loneliness, we will create belonging. In everything, we will point to Jesus—the source of true healing and lasting joy.
We believe the church should be a lighthouse for the lost and a refuge for the weary. Through outreach, partnerships, and service, we will make visible the invisible love of Christ.
